Megan Corrado

Megan Corrado is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in international law and policy. Currently serving as Counsel at the Public International Law & Policy Group since 2011, Megan has previously held positions including Legal Fellow at Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility and Senior Research Associate at the same organization. With notable experience working on teams addressing issues in Nepal, Burma, and Kosovo, as well as water diplomacy, Megan also contributed as an Honors Legal Intern at the United States Department of Defense. Earlier roles include serving as a Victim Advocate at Women Empowered Against Violence and Associate Consultant at The Ambit Group. Academically, Megan earned a J.D. with Magna Cum Laude honors from American University Washington College of Law and holds a B.A. in Political Science, International Relations, and English Literature, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island.

Public International Law & Policy Group

The Public International Law & Policy Group, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, operates as a non-profit, global pro bono law firm providing free legal assistance to its clients, which include governments, sub-state entities, and civil society groups worldwide. PILPG provides pro bono legal counsel to clients on peace negotiation, drafting of post-conflict constitutions, creation and operation of transitional justice mechanisms, and ways to strengthen the rule of law and effective institutions. Since 1995, we have worked with over 40 state and non-state parties and provided legal assistance to all major war crimes tribunals. We maintain close partnerships with 12 of the top 15 law firms and have over 700 alumni working in the fields of law, government, foreign policy, business, and social advocacy around the world.
