Mohammed Hassan Osman al-Ta'ishi is a Senior Peace Fellow at the Public International Law & Policy Group since September 2022. Previously, al-Ta'ishi served as a Member of the Sovereignty Council for the Federal Government of Sudan from August 2019 to October 2021. Experience includes a role as Project Coordinator at the Governance Bureau from November 2010 to March 2013, as well as serving as a Consultant for the Darfur Compensation Commission between August 2008 and October 2010. Al-Ta'ishi began a career in the Darfur Reconstruction and Development Fund (DRDF) as an Observer from June 2007 to August 2008. Educationally, al-Ta'ishi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Anthropology from the University of Khartoum.

The Public International Law & Policy Group, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, operates as a non-profit, global pro bono law firm providing free legal assistance to its clients, which include governments, sub-state entities, and civil society groups worldwide. PILPG provides pro bono legal counsel to clients on peace negotiation, drafting of post-conflict constitutions, creation and operation of transitional justice mechanisms, and ways to strengthen the rule of law and effective institutions. Since 1995, we have worked with over 40 state and non-state parties and provided legal assistance to all major war crimes tribunals. We maintain close partnerships with 12 of the top 15 law firms and have over 700 alumni working in the fields of law, government, foreign policy, business, and social advocacy around the world.
