Steven Bliss has a diverse work experience in various roles. Steven started their career as a Research Associate and later became an Associate Director at The Advisory Board Company. Steven then worked as a Staff Coordinator/Legislative Analyst at the California Medical Association. Steven also served as a Program Coordinator at the Volunteer Center of San Francisco and as a Writing Instructor at the University of Utah. Steven was an Instructor of Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Steven worked as the Executive Director at Renew Lehigh Valley before joining the California Budget & Policy Center as the Director of Strategic Communications. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Digital Strategy at the Public Policy Institute of California. Additionally, Steven had their own company called Bliss Consulting, Inc., where they worked as the Principal and had various clients including government organizations and educational institutions.
Steven Bliss graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in the School of Communication in 1989. Steven then pursued further education at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Literature/American Studies in 1997.
