Elena Giannakopoulou

Elena Giannakopoulou serves as the Group Chief Strategy Officer and Director of Strategy at PPC S.A. since June 2020, also holding the position of Mergers and Acquisitions Director. Concurrently, Elena has been a Board Member of Eurelectric since June 2023. Prior roles include Vice President of Strategy & Partnerships at John Laing and several key positions at BloombergNEF, culminating as Head of Energy Economics, where leadership was provided to a global team focusing on energy transition dynamics. Earlier experience includes consulting for energy projects at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in the UK and technical support roles at Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation. Elena holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London, a Master's Degree in Applied Economics & Finance from Athens University of Economics and Business, and an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
