Erika Murdey

Editor at Public Sector Consultants

Erika has always been fascinated by the written word and how it can be used to explore and construct other worlds. Whether voraciously consuming horror, science fiction, or fantasy novels; creating and publishing her own short fiction; or teaching others how to write their own stories, Erika takes great pleasure in imagining different ways of existing and how writing can change the world for the better — one em dash at a time.

Erika applies her linguistic skills as an editor at PSC, where she provides copy, line, and developmental editing for the firm’s written materials, including reports, surveys, proposals, and social media. She works closely with PSC staff to improve their writing, with the goal of producing high‐quality material that leads to actionable solutions.

Prior to joining PSC, Erika was the office manager for the Michigan Film & Digital Media Office, where she tracked the office budget, drafted and edited internal and external communications, and conducted research developments in the film and digital media industries as well as relevant legislation. Before that, she taught composition courses at Central Michigan University and Olivet College.
