Craig Reynolds

Regional EVP, Ontario at Public Service Alliance Of Canada

Craig was appointed Regional Executive Vice-President (REVP) for Ontario in September 2020 and was elected REVP in June 2021.

Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Craig immigrated to Canada with his family when he was 19.

In 2004, while studying Business Management Studies at York University, Craig joined the federal public service through a term assignment at the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB). There, he soon realized that many of his coworkers were caught in a cycle of precarious employment, ranging from short-term contracts to term appointments and casual work.

The following year, Craig joined the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy (OSB) in an indeterminate position. However, Craig never forgot the experiences and difficulties he witnessed when he first started his career in the public service, where so many of his former colleagues remained in precarious positions.

To fight against this injustice and other workplace issues, Craig got involved in his union Local, serving as president between 2013 and 2020. He was also active in his component, the Union of National Employees (UNE) and on PSAC’s Ontario Regional Council.

Craig is committed to engaging and mobilizing PSAC’s growing and diverse membership. He has pledged to improve their members’ working conditions, organize new workplaces, empower young activists, and fight to dismantle systemic racism.
