Shaheen Lotun

Shaheen Lotun is a Communications Officer at the Public Service Alliance of Canada since March 2022, focusing on content creation for digital media related to labour negotiations and social justice. Previously, Shaheen served as Project Administrator at Capital Rainbow Refuge, leading a team on a grant-funded project for LGBTQ+ refugees. Experience includes coordinating community partnerships to combat violence against women at the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Ottawa and managing the Sister-to-Sister Mentorship Program for the Nobel Women's Initiative. Additional roles involved promoting gender equality in Uganda as a Gender Officer at the Cooperative Development Foundation and supervising bilateral exchange programs for Canada World Youth. Shaheen holds a Master of Arts in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Science from the University of Regina.
