Christopher Lundt is an accomplished economist with significant experience in both academic and governmental roles. Currently serving as an economist at the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia since April 2021, Christopher previously contributed as a research assistant for impact evaluation at The Catholic University of America, focusing on the Carlos F. Novella Foundation's program Mejores Familias. Additional academic roles included serving as an intermediate macroeconomics teaching assistant, where responsibilities involved guiding students and providing feedback on assignments, as well as tutoring in economics and statistics. The Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia was originally established by Congress in 1913 and was reaffirmed by Congress as an independent agency of the District of Columbia Government in the District of Columbia Home Rule Charter in 1973. The DCPSC functions as an independent, quasi-judicial agency in the District of Columbia Government. The mission of the PSC is to serve the public interest by ensuring that financially healthy electric, natural gas, and telecommunications companies provide safe, reliable, and quality services at reasonable rates for District of Columbia residential, business, and government customers.
