Chris Sambar

Chris Sambar currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Public Storage, a position held since October 2024. Prior to this role, Chris was a Board Member at AST Space Mobile from August 2024 to February 2025 and spent over seven years at AT&T, culminating in the role of President where responsibilities included managing the architecture, engineering, construction, operations, tower strategy, and program management of AT&T's global network with an annual budget of approximately $27 billion. Chris also held titles at AT&T as Executive Vice President, overseeing over $20 billion in capital expenditures, and Senior Vice President of FirstNet, leading the development of the first nationwide public safety network valued at $100 billion by the US Government. Earlier military service includes a distinguished career as Commander (SEAL) in the United States Navy, with involvement in various teams and operations and serving as an Iraq war veteran. Chris holds an MBA in Management Consulting from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Sciences from the United States Naval Academy.
