Julia Wehr started their work experience in 2011 as a Contributing Writer for the Columbia Chronicle, where they produced short-form journalism and gained experience in pitching stories, conducting research, interviewing sources, and meeting deadlines.
In 2014, they worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer for Paddy Mac's Pub & Grill.
From 2015, Julia joined Publications International, firstly working as a Junior Designer, producing cooking magazines and cookbooks. Julia fulfilled image requests and created mockup materials for the sales department. Later, they became an Art Director, responsible for designing and producing cooking magazines, cookbooks, and recipe card tins. Julia worked alongside editors, managed projects within deadlines, and also designed the company's annual catalog starting from 2020.
Julia Wehr pursued their education at Columbia College Chicago from 2011 to 2014, where they completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design. Following that, they attended the City Colleges of Chicago-Harry S Truman College, engaging in General Education classes.
