Akash Kalra

Akash Kalra has over 22 years of work experience in the field of information security and management. Akash currently holds the position of Sr. Vice President, Enterprise Security & Deputy CISO at Publicis Groupe since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as Sr. Vice President, Enterprise Security at Publicis Re:Sources from October 2018 to January 2022. Akash also served as Senior Director Information Security at Publicis Re:Sources from November 2017 to October 2018, and as Director Information Security from January 2016 to November 2017.

Before joining Publicis, Akash Kalra worked at Sapient, where they held various roles in the information security department. Akash was the Director Information Security from August 2015 to December 2015 and the Sr. Manager Information Security, Global Security Office from March 2013 to August 2015. Akash also served as Sr. Manager Information Security from January 2011 to March 2013, Sr. Manager IT from January 2007 to January 2011, and Manager IT from June 2004 to January 2007.

Prior to Sapient, Akash Kalra worked at EDS - Electronic Data Systems India as part of the Service Delivery Management team from July 2000 to June 2004. Akash started their career as a Consultant at SQL Star International from March 1999 to July 2000.

Akash Kalra completed their Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA with a specialization in Information Technology from FORE School of Management, New Delhi. Additionally, Akash has certifications in CISSP from (ISC)², Lead Auditor in Information Security Management Systems ISO 27001 from SAI Global, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
