Everton Zanella Alvarenga

Everton Zanella Alvarenga has extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Everton started their career in 2011 as a Consultant at Câmara Municipal de São Paulo, where they focused on communication and web technologies. Everton then moved on to become the President at IT3S from 2011 to 2013. In the same period, they also worked as a Project Manager at Wikimedia Foundation and as a Projects Coordinator & Community Engagement at Open Knowledge Foundation.

In 2013, Everton co-founded Open Knowledge Brasil and served as the Founder & Executive Director until 2016. During this time, they also served as a Board of Directors member.

Everton then worked as a Software Developer at Freelancer from February 2019 to December 2019 and as a Software Developer at TBO from December 2019 to July 2020.

From 2020 to 2022, Everton worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Abstract-Technology GmbH, where they gained experience in backend development using Python and frontend development using React.

Currently, they are working as a Business Intelligence Developer at publicplan GmbH since October 2022.

Throughout their career, Everton has shown a strong commitment to open knowledge, transparency, and community engagement.

Everton Zanella Alvarenga completed their undergraduate studies at USP - Universidade de São Paulo, from 1999 to 2002, with a focus on Physics. Later, from 1999 to 2005, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Elementary Particle Physics at the same institution.
