Bryan Abernathy

Bryan Abernathy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Bryan is currently serving as a Servicenow Principal Engineer at Publix Super Markets since February 2023. Before that, they worked at Accenture as a Delivery Manager, overseeing Servicenow projects and programs for Fortune 500 clients from August 2021 to February 2023.

Prior to Accenture, Bryan worked at (ISC)² where they held multiple roles. Bryan started as a Financial Systems Analyst in February 2016, leading the migration of core financials to the cloud and optimizing finance technology solutions. Bryan then moved up to the role of Senior Cloud Engineer in July 2017, where they were responsible for implementing and administering the Servicenow platform and improving ITSM practices. Bryan further progressed to Automation Lead in January 2019, serving as the servicenow product owner and leading Agile delivery projects. Bryan eventually became the Automation Manager in March 2020, managing a growing Agile team and establishing development governance processes.

Prior to (ISC)², Bryan worked at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital as a Senior Systems Analyst from May 2014 to February 2016. Here, they led the EMR Orders team, performed routine EMR upgrade activities, and managed projects focused on improving clinician experience and patient safety. Bryan also trained clinical end users during the migration from paper-based systems to EMR.

Bryan's earliest work experience was at Raymond James, where they held multiple roles. Bryan started as a Business Reporting Analyst in October 2005, providing support for financial reporting and compliance. Bryan then became a Portfolio Analyst in April 2007, followed by a Co-Op role in Accounting Systems & Projects from September 2007 to August 2009. Finally, they were promoted to a Systems Reconciliation Specialist, conducting forensic accounting and ensuring the integrity of client accounts from August 2009 to April 2012.

Overall, Bryan Abernathy has demonstrated expertise in Servicenow implementation and administration, Agile project management, financial systems, and EMR optimization throughout their work experience in various industries.

Bryan Abernathy obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Bryan also holds several additional certifications, including ITIL® 4 Foundation Level from AXELOS Global Best Practice, Servicenow Certified System Administrator from ServiceNow, SAFe Agilist (SA) from Scaled Agile, Inc., and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance.
