Doug Floyd has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and companies. Doug started their career in 2000 as a PC Analyst at Southern Farm Bureau and then moved on to become a Windows Server Administrator at Saks Incorporated in 2004. In 2005, Floyd worked as an Oracle Database Administrator / AppsDBA at Cellular South. From 2011 to 2018, they served as the Manager of Technical Services at Mississippi Baptist Health Systems. In 2018, Floyd joined Business Communications, Inc. as an Account Executive. Currently, since 2019, they hold the position of Director of Information Services and Technology at Puckett Machinery Company. Additionally, in 2023, they are also the Company Owner of Renewed Properties, LLC.
Doug Floyd attended Mississippi College from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. Prior to that, they had studied General Studies at Hinds Community College from 1996 to 1998, although they did not earn a degree in that field. In addition to their formal education, Doug Floyd has also obtained two certifications: VMware Certified Associate 6 – Data Center Virtualization from VMware, which they achieved in July 2016.

Puckett Machinery Company is the Caterpillar heavy equipment and engine dealer for central and southern Mississippi. We have six heavy equipment and engine facilities which are conveniently located throughout the southern half of the state. (In addition, we also have five easily accessed rental facilities known as Puckett Rents.) It’s important to us to be readily accessible to our customers. In fact, when you’re in this part of the state, you’re never more than an hour away from one of our full service facilities. Helping our customers succeed is our number one priority.
