Amanda Burns has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Amanda started their career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Life Care Centers of America in 2001. From 2002 to 2015, they worked at SkyRidge Medical Center, initially as an Emergency Room Nurse and later transitioning to becoming a Human Resources Generalist and Licensed Practical Nurse. In this role, they were responsible for various HR functions, such as recruiting, employee relations, orientation, and coordinating employee events. Since 2015, Amanda has been working at Puerto Rico Industries for the Blind (formerly Hardwick Clothes) as a Human Resources Director. In this position, they have streamlined HR processes, implemented employee satisfaction programs, and maintained open communication practices. Amanda is proficient in various HR software and tools.
Amanda Burns completed their education at Tennessee Wesleyan University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Management Excellence with a focus on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration. Amanda also attended Tennessee Technology Center at Athens, where they received a Licensed Practical Nurse degree in Nursing Education. In addition, they obtained certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the State of Tennessee in August 2004.

BUSINESS: Design and manufacture uniforms and equipage for the US Government. HISTORY: PRIFB management team have more than 90 years of experience manufacturing military and commercial apparel. PRIFB sprung out of WSIFB, when WSIFB decide to leave Puerto Rico, we continued the operation under the new name of PRIFB. Our goal is to ensure that individuals challenged by severe disabilities have a place to build a career and establish economic independence.
