Joy Carpenter

Joy Carpenter has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Joy began their career at SAMBICA as a Project Manager, Program Assistant, and Senior Counselor from 2000 to 2005. Joy then worked at Embassy Suites as an Assistant Front Office Manager, Sales and Catering Coordinator, and Front Desk Agent from 2001 to 2006. Following that, they joined Coast Hotels & Resorts, where they served as a Sales Coordinator at the Roosevelt Hotel Seattle and later as a Corporate Sales Manager at the Paramount Hotel Seattle from 2006 to 2010. Joy then worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Pineapple Hospitality from 2010 to 2011. Joy subsequently joined Woodmark Hotel & Spa as a Business Travel Sales Manager from 2011 to 2014. Joy then worked at Four Points by Sheraton as a Director of Sales from 2014 to 2016. Joy also had a role as an Area Director of Sales at Courtyard by Marriott from 2015 to 2022. Additionally, they served as the Administrative Director at GBTA | Puget Sound Chapter from 2009 to present. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at Puget Sound Hospitality, overseeing a team of Sales Directors and ensuring the success of five hotels.

Joy Carpenter attended Richmond Christian School from 1985 to 1997, where they obtained a High School Diploma. Joy then studied at Life Pacific University from 1999 to 2001, earning a 2-year degree in Music and Bible Theology. Currently, they are enrolled at Northwest University from 2022 to 2024, pursuing a degree in Business Organizational Leadership.
