Núria Buxons Vives

Núria Buxons Vives has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and microbiology. Núria is currently working as a Lab Manager at Pulmobiotics SL, where their responsibilities include performing administrative duties and working in the area of synthetic biology. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Associate at Ryp Labs (formerly StixFresh) from April 2021 to October 2022.

Núria also has experience as an R&D Laboratory Technician at VIB from October 2019 to April 2021, where they focused on the development and characterization of formulations to prevent fungal growth on fruits. At Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), Núria served as a Microbiology intern in the Bacterial infections: antimicrobial therapies group from October 2017 to July 2018.

Furthermore, they worked as a Biotecnologist/Microbiologist Intern at MICOLOGI group- Mycology and Environmental Microbiology Unit at Universitat Rovira i Virgili from February 2017 to June 2017. Núria also gained experience as a Biotechnology student intern at Biosfer Teslab through the Santander Crue-CEPYME Internship Grant in 2016, where they worked on lipid extraction, statistical studies on hypertriglyceridemic patients, and the distribution patterns of triglycerides and esterified cholesterol.

Núria Buxons Vives pursued their education in the field of microbiology and biotechnology. In 2013, they enrolled at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and completed their undergraduate degree in Biotechnologist in 2017. During this time, they also had the opportunity to study Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Gothenburg from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they joined the Universitat de Barcelona to pursue a Master's degree in Microbiology, which they completed in 2018. Additionally, Núria holds a certification in FCE (B2) from the University of Cambridge, although the specific details regarding the date of obtaining the certification are not provided.
