Sande Snead has a long and varied work experience. Sande began their career in 1977 as a freelance writer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch. In 1984, they became a freelance writer for R Home, Richmond Magazine. In 1999, they became a member of the National Federation of Press Women and President of the Virginia Professional Communicators. In 2001, they established SS Communications, a full-service public relations and marketing company. In 2007, they started working at Pulsar Advertising as an Account Supervisor. In 2008, they became a freelance writer for Boomer magazine. In 2012, they were named the 2012 LLS of Virginia Woman of the Year and became a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Finally, in 2013, they began working at Rhudy & Co. Strategic Communications as a Project Manager.
Sande Snead's education history includes a Master of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Communications, a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University in Communication Arts, and a High School diploma from Marymount High School.
