Michael Brownell

Michael Brownell has over 25 years of experience in the medical device and semiconductor industries. Michael is currently a Product Strategy Advisor at PulseMedica.

Previously, they were Global Head of Vision Correction Equipment and Director of R&D at Abbott Medical Optics from December 2004 to December 2011. Prior to that, they were Optical Group Leader at KLA-Tencor from December 1986 to December 1989.

Michael also held positions as Vice President of Product Development at Intralase from December 2004 to December 2009 and at Powerlase from December 2002 to December 2004. Michael was also Vice President of Product Development at GigaTerra from December 2000 to December 2002. From December 1998 to December 2000, they served as Director of Product Development and Manufacturing at Intralase.

Prior to that, they were Program Manager at New Focus from December 1989 to December 1998 and CEO of Gobiquity Mobile Health from October 2012 to December 2014.

Michael Brownell earned their BS in physics with a focus in scientific instrumentation from San Diego State University. Michael then went on to earn their MS in physics with a focus in lasers & optics also from San Diego State University.
