Ilja Siera

Ilja Siera, PhD, currently serves as Project Leader in Advanced Development at Punch Powertrain, focusing on E-Drive innovation and CSRD reporting since April 2018. Prior to this role, Siera was a Senior Researcher at Flanders Make vzw, managing procurement for the HIL & EV Powertrain Testing Facility and advancing innovations in clean energy-efficient vehicles. Experience also includes a tenure as a Senior R&D Engineer at VSE, specializing in subsea power distribution networks for the Oil & Gas industry and developing hybrid vehicle platforms. Earlier roles include R&D Engineer positions at EVO Electric, focusing on hybrid powertrain development, and Fluids Systems Design Engineer at Rolls-Royce, where oil systems for large fleet engines were designed. Siera began a career as an Industrial Combustion Consultant at Cinar Ltd., optimizing combustion processes. Educational credentials include a PhD from Imperial College London, a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering from Inholland University of Applied Sciences, and ongoing studies for an Executive MBA at Vlerick Business School.
