Chee Yi Ong

Chee Yi Ong's work experience starts in 2013 as an Engineering Intern at Pentamaster Corporation, where they gained experience in computer vision and mechanical assembly. In 2014, they worked as a Systems Student Worker and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications, performing troubleshooting, technical support, and software testing. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at Expedia, Inc., contributing to the development of new features in the Expedia iOS app. In 2017, they joined Punch Through as a Software Engineer, specializing in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connected Android and iOS apps. They were promoted to Senior Software Engineer in 2020, serving as a technical lead, project manager, and mentor to junior engineers. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Software Engineer at Punch Through since 2023. They demonstrate expertise in system architecture, design, and communication with stakeholders. Additionally, in 2019, they briefly owned AppWorks Venture.

Chee Yi Ong attended the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2015 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering.
