Nele Domen

Nele Domen currently serves in Group Indirect Procurement at Puratos, having joined the company in October 2024. Prior to this role, Nele Domen spent over 14 years at BASF, culminating in the position of Head of Procurement Benelux, managing a team of 30 professionals focused on strategic purchasing and supply chain efficiency. Earlier roles included Project Procurement Manager for major projects such as the New EO Complex in Antwerp and the New TDI Complex in Ludwigshafen, alongside positions as Service Excellence Manager and Senior Procurement Verbund Coordinator. Nele's procurement career began at BASF as a Junior Buyer and progressed to Senior Buyer for Fabricated Equipment. In addition to professional experience, Nele offered expertise as a lecturer at VIB, teaching procurement classes. Nele Domen holds a degree in economics from KU Leuven and qualifications in Lean Six Sigma and Agile project management.
