Jessica Flower has a diverse work experience. Jessica began their career in 2011 as an Events Manager for The AMS Pub Services, where they were responsible for booking events at Alfie's and creating promotions at The Queen's Pub. In 2012, they were promoted to Head Manager and was in charge of the management of the daily operations of both The Queen's Pub & Alfie's Nightclub. In 2013, they were an intern for Toronto Life Magazine, where they were exposed to all stages of magazine production and had various tasks including fact-checking, transcribing interviews, first-hand research, research reads and copy editing. Jessica also contributed to 'The Informer' section of the site, writing up on cultural happenings around the city. In 2014, they were a Web Editorial Intern for FASHION Magazine, publishing 2-4 stories a day including fashion news, trend write ups and fashion show critiques. Jessica was also Self-Employed as a Freelance Writer, with current and past publications including fashionmagazine.com, The Coast, The Dalhousie Gazette and Toronto Life. In 2015, they were an Assistant Editor and Editorial Assistant for House & Home Media, as well as a Summer Reporter for The Chronicle Herald, covering business, arts, lifestyle and current events in Nova Scotia. Finally, in 2019, they were a Bids and Marketing Manager, Senior Bid and Marketing Coordinator, and Marketing and Bid Coordinator for Purcell.

Jessica Flower completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism from the University of King's College in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Honours in Art History & French from Queen's University in 2013.
