Casey Bonk has a diverse background in sports management and media relations. They started their career as a Media Relations Intern at the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 and later became a Media Relations Assistant. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Assistant Director of Media Relations - Athletics, where they handled various responsibilities including social media content creation, press releases, and game notes. Casey also contributed to strategic planning and participated in head coaching searches. They were an active member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). In 2018, Casey joined the University of Louisville as the Director of Softball Operations, a role they held until 2023 when they moved to Purdue Athletics to take on the same position. Additionally, in 2012, Casey worked as media support staff for the NCAA Basketball Championship.
Casey Bonk obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh between 2010 and 2014.
