Purdue Athletics
Lauren Cooney has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2019, they worked as a Cashier at Schaefer Drugs Wellington, where they gained customer service experience and pharmacy knowledge. In 2020, they became a Gators Creative Video Intern at University Athletic Association Inc, where they held multiple roles such as Lacrosse Content Creator, Gator Minute Co-Host, Men's and Women's Golf Content Creator, and 1st & 10 Show Reporter. In 2022, they worked as a Cashier at Gators Sportshop and also had brief stints as a Production Assistant at NFL Films and a Stage Manager at ESPN. Lauren will soon be joining Purdue Athletics as an Assistant Director of Creative Services - Video Production in 2023. Lauren also has experience in media and journalism as a Features Editor at Lauren'sCampus at UFL and a Sports Anchor and Reporter at WUFT News. Additionally, they worked as a Summer Camp Counselor at the Village of Wellington and as a Cashier/Baker at Cinnabon.
Lauren Cooney's education history begins in 2015 when they attended Palm Beach Central High School. They completed their high school education in 2019 and received a High School Diploma with a focus on Web and Digital Design.
Following their high school graduation, Lauren enrolled at the University of Florida in 2019. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, Sports and Media. This program is expected to be completed in 2023.
