Associate Vice Chancellor, HR & Office of Institutional Equity at Purdue University Fort Wayne

Cynthia Springer is currently the Associate Vice Chancellor of HR and Office of Institutional Equity at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Cynthia has dedicated their career to providing education opportunities for students, and has been a part of many organizations that help shape passion and talent in education as well as the arts.

Springer began their journey in education when they became the CEO and Chief Human Resources Officer of GREAAT Schools, Inc. in 2010. There, they were responsible for creating, communicating, and leading the vision and strategic direction of the company and its Superintendent, Grand Rapids Ellington Academy of Arts and Technology. Under their leadership, the Academy’s students persisted in attendance at 94% annually.

In their role as CEO, Springer was also responsible for providing the leadership role model on embracing the rigor of instilling Ellington’s healthy and positive behavior characteristics. In just one year, the students’ academic growth showed an increase of one to four grade levels in national assessments.

Throughout their 30 years in education, Springer has built relationships with many individuals and organizations that have helped their in their journey to provide students with a global educational experience. These relationships have been crucial in their fight to give all students access to a quality education.

Cynthia Springer has a Juris Doctor from Concord Law School at Purdue University Global, a Masters in Management & Organizational Development from Aquinas College - Grand Rapids, a Bachelors in Business Administration from Davenport University, and an Associates in Legal Studies from Davenport University. Cynthia also has certification from Purdue University Global in Concord Law - Distinguished Scholar and from Thompson Reuters in Essential Legal Research Certified.

Cynthia Springer works with Jerry Lewis - Vice Chancellor for Communications & Marketing, Carl Drummond - Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Kenneth C. Christmon - Associate Vice Chancellor, Office of University Ombudsman. Cynthia Springer reports to Ronald L. Elsenbaumer, Chancellor.
