Patrick Wolfe

Provost & EVP, Academic Affairs & Diversity at Purdue University

Patrick J. Wolfe is the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Diversity at Purdue University, a position held since July 2017, responsible for providing leadership for the academic enterprise. Patrick also serves as the Frederick L. Hovde Dean of Science and Miller Family Professor of Statistics at The Alan Turing Institute since October 2015, along with roles as Trustee and Non-Executive Director and Deputy Director. Prior to these roles, Patrick was Professor and Executive Director of the UCL Big Data Institute at University College London from January 2012 to July 2017, where Patrick also held positions as Professor of Statistics and Honorary Professor of Computer Science. Earlier academic appointments included Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Harvard University (July 2004 - December 2011) and Fellow and College Lecturer in Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Cambridge (2001 - 2004). Patrick holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge (1998 - 2003) and dual degrees (BSEE and BMus) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1993 - 1998).
