Angela Bernhardt

Angela Bernhardt has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as the Executive Director of Communications at Pure Earth since 2013. Before that, they worked at Pearson Education as a Senior Media Producer from 2008 to 2013, where they played a key role in expanding interactive media offerings and developing a game-based, 3D interactive simulation product. Prior to that, they worked as an Editor at Columbia University from 2005 to 2008, and as a Creative Director/Lead Instructional Designer at Girls Incorporated from 2003 to 2005. Angela also has experience as a Digital Product Designer at VSI Communications Group from 1995 to 1998, and as a Lobbyist at the Center for Science in the Public Interest from 1992 to 1994, where they worked on public health policy, legislative initiatives, and media relations.

Angela Bernhardt holds an M.A. degree in Public Policy, International Development, and Women's Studies from The George Washington University. Angela also obtained a Training and Instructional Design Specialist Certificate in Curriculum and Instructional Design and Development from Georgetown University in 1996. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Quinnipiac University, earning a B.S. degree in Computer Science and English Literature from 1980 to 1984.
