Pure Earth
Sarah Berg is an accomplished communications professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Communications at Pure Earth since March 2021, where responsibilities include promoting the organization's mission to reduce global pollution through storytelling and multimedia content. Prior experience includes roles at GAHP and the Maine Democratic Party, where outreach and voter support were key focuses. Additional experience as an AmeriCorps Member at Serve Louisiana involved managing a community garden project, and earlier roles included researching the societal impacts of gardening in New Orleans and connecting educators with environmental nonprofits. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, French, and Public Health from Tulane University and has furthered education in landscape architecture at UC Berkeley and participated in a study abroad program at Université Paris Cité.

It prioritizes actions to protect children's and pregnant women's developing brains and bodies in toxic hotspots.
