James Davies

James Davies has a strong background in finance and has held various roles in different companies. James is currently working as the Finance Director at Pure Electric since 2023. Prior to this, they were the Head of Commercial Finance at Pure Electric from 2021-2023.

Before joining Pure Electric, James worked at Dyson for 11 years. James served as a Senior Finance Manager for the GB Direct business from 2019-2021. In this role, they were responsible for business partnering the Director of GB Direct and reporting the financial performance of the Direct channels.

James also worked as a Senior Category Finance Manager - Floorcare at Dyson from 2017-2019, where they partnered with the Head of Commercial and the Head of RDD to support the Floorcare strategy. James had direct reports and was responsible for various aspects of finance related to product launches.

James also held the position of RDD and Category Finance Manager at Dyson from 2015-2017. Here, they provided financial analysis and planning for new product development projects, partnering with the commercial and RDD teams.

Prior to joining Dyson, James worked at Corus as a Finance Graduate from 2008-2010.

In addition to their roles in finance, James has experience in treasury operations. James worked as a Treasury Operations Manager at Dyson from 2012-2015, where they were responsible for money market dealings, liquidity management, and FX positions. James also served as a Treasury Dealer at Dyson from 2010-2012.

James Davies completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of South Wales from 2004 to 2007. James then pursued a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Financial Management at Lancaster University from 2007 to 2008. Afterwards, James attended ACCA from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a degree in Accountancy. James furthered their education at ACT from 2011 to 2012 and obtained a degree in Treasury.
