Carsten Erner currently serves as the Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Pure Finance Group since July 2025. Prior to this role, Carsten held the position of Chief Scientist/Head of Data Science at Atlas Point from July 2023 to June 2025 and co-founded GovPort, serving as an advisor from August 2022 to July 2023. Carsten's tenure at Vemo Education spanned from September 2018 to July 2022 as Vice President of Product, Analytics, and Credit. Previously, Carsten worked as Senior Director of Credit Risk Management and Research at FS Card Inc. from June 2016 to September 2018 and was a Postdoctoral Scholar in Behavioral Decision Making at UCLA Anderson School of Management from November 2011 to May 2016. Carsten also engaged in various educational roles at the University of Münster and other institutions from 2001 to 2011. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Finance and a Master of Science in Business Administration, both from the University of Münster.
