Michael McCormick

Michael McCormick is a seasoned professional in the animation and digital effects industry, currently serving as Chief Creative Officer at Pure Imagination Studios since December 2014. In this role, McCormick has contributed to the development of multi-platform content for prominent brands like LEGO, Disney, and Marvel. Prior experience includes co-founding Pendulum, where innovative 3D animation and motion capture solutions were created for clients such as Activision and Ubisoft. McCormick's career also features significant roles at Hydraulx and Giant Studios, the latter of which was instrumental in developing technology for landmark films including "Lord of the Rings" and "Avatar." Earlier positions include director roles at Crawford Communications and co-ownership of TMGraphics, solidifying McCormick's extensive background in digital effects and animation. McCormick studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1994.
