Jean Walker

Jean is a qualified lawyer who has practiced in Stockport for over 25 years. She is also an experienced trustee and non-executive director having worked in the not for profit sector locally and nationally, and in large and small organizations throughout her career.

Passionate about making things happen and making a difference, she is a founding member and chair of Vision Stockport, a Community Interest Company established to catalyse change in Stockport. One of their achievements was to successfully campaign for a Business Improvement District in Stockport and Jean was a founding director and chair of Stockport’s Business Improvement District – Totally Stockport. She is also a member of Stockport Town Centre Management Board – a partnership of various agencies working together to oversee the development and activities in Stockport Town Centre.
