Tom Norton

Tom Norton has over 15 years of work experience in various roles related to user experience design, interface development, and implementation consulting.

Their most recent position is as the UX Design Lead at Pure Pet Food since 2022.

Prior to that, Tom worked at Covéa Insurance for 4 years, starting as a UX Designer in March 2018 and later being promoted to Senior User Experience Designer in September 2018.

Before Covéa Insurance, Tom worked at Northern Gas Networks where they held the positions of UX Lead and User Experience Designer from 2015 to 2018. In these roles, they focused on leading the UX strategy, creating user-centered systems, and shaping the users' experience with the tools they used.

Tom's earlier experience includes working at Frog Education where they served as an Implementation Consultant, UX and UI Designer, and Web Designer from 2007 to 2015. In these roles, they were responsible for transitioning schools onto the latest software versions, gathering requirements through user interviews and observations, creating wireframes and user flows, and designing web interfaces and platforms.

Tom's first job was at HBOS where they worked as a General Office employee specializing in Fraud Bank Account Management from 2006 to 2007. In this role, they reviewed fraudulent bank accounts and transferred money to designated accounts. Tom was responsible for achieving targets and demonstrating trustworthiness.

Tom Norton completed their GCSE's at Wrekin College from 2002 to 2005. Tom then attended Shrewsbury Colleges Group from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a National Diploma in Computer Software and Media Applications. In addition to their formal education, Tom has obtained various certifications such as "Creating Your Personal Brand" from LinkedIn in October 2020, "PSM1" from Scrum.org in January 2019, and "Adobe Experience Design CC: First Look" from Lynda.com in October 2016, among others.
