Sydney Bishop

Sydney Bishop is a dynamic journalist with extensive experience in various writing and reporting roles. Currently serving as a News Associate at CNN since April 2024, Sydney has achieved an impressive 40 bylines that garnered over 5 million page views. Previous roles include Contributing Writer at Marietta Daily Journal, where successful articles resulted in five A1 features, and Reporter at The Oglethorpe Echo, focusing on criminal justice and safety. Sydney also contributed as Assistant Culture Editor and Culture Contributor at The Red & Black Publishing Co., managing numerous assignments while writing compelling cultural content. Additional experience includes participation as a Student Delegate at the Cannes Film Festival and content writing for Their Campus Media. Sydney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, complemented by earlier education at Georgia College & State University and First Presbyterian Day School.
