Coleen Geissmar

Coleen Geissmar has over 18 years of work experience in Human Resources. Coleen is currently the Head of People Growth at Puresport since 2021. Prior to this, they were the HR Manager at Quilter - Global Edge Technologies PTY Ltd from 2018 to 2021. Coleen was also a HR and Training Consultant for Self Employed from 2016 to 2018. From 2003 to 2016, they were the Senior Human Resources Business Partner and National Training Manager at Old Mutual South Africa. In their role as National Training Manager, they managed a team of trainers, conducted needs analysis bi-annually, executed content and curriculum design, managed the design and development of workshops, learning material or eLearning, scheduled National Training nationally, evaluated and measured all learning provided, designed and implemented Pre- and Post-Workshop assessments according to assessment strategy, implemented a record keeping system, presented plans/methods to ensure ongoing improvement in workplace procedures, performed role of Skills Development Driver for the Business Unit, aligned learning material with legislative requirements, and collaborated with vendors to source content, training and infrastructure.

Coleen Geissmar has a diverse education history. In 2021, they obtained an ENNEAGRAM from Integrative 9. In 2019, they obtained a Practical Labour Law from the University of Cape Town in Labor and Industrial Relations. In 2008, they obtained a Human Resources Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in Human Resources Management and Services. In 2003, they obtained a Human Performance Improvement (HPI) from Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) in Human Resources Development. In 1983-1986, they obtained an HDE from Cape Town teachers training college in Kindergarten/Preschool Education and Teaching. Additionally, in 2021, they obtained a Project Management: Principles and Practices certification from USB Executive Development (Pty) Ltd.
