David Carney

David Carney has over 22 years of work experience in various roles and companies. David is currently the Vice President and Head of Operations at PureTech Health since January 2020. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Operations at PureTech Health from May 2018 to December 2019. Before joining PureTech Health, David held leadership positions at Catabasis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. David was the Senior Director and Head of Operations from May 2015 to May 2018, overseeing IT and informatics solutions, HR, people development, and facility management. David also held roles as Director of Biochemistry and Bioanalysis from February 2012 to May 2015, and Associate Director of Biochemistry and Bioanalysis from February 2010 to May 2012. David has previous experience at Sirtris, a GSK Company, where they served as the Associate Director of Lead Discovery from 2005 to 2010, and at Sirtris Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist and Scientist from 2005 to 2010. David began their career at Novartis as a Scientist in 2004 and at Amgen as a Research Associate from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they had roles as an Associate Scientist and Assistant Scientist at Kinetix Pharmaceuticals from 1998 to 2000.

David Carney earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they attended from 1994 to 1998.
