Rob Costanzo

Rob Costanzo has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, they served as the Head of Quality Assurance at PureTech Health since June 2020. Prior to that, they were the Director of Quality Assurance at Albireo Pharma, Inc. from October 2017 to June 2020.

Between 2016 and 2017, Costanzo worked at Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Quality Control. Here, they were responsible for developing and managing Quality Control analytic systems, as well as implementing source document control and audit readiness strategies.

From 2014 to 2016, Costanzo held the position of Senior Director of Quality at Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc.

Throughout the 1990s, Costanzo gained significant experience in quality control and analytical development roles. Rob served as the Director of QC at Eisai Inc. from 1996 to 2014, where they developed quality control and QA strategies, established method transfer systems, and was involved in PAIs.

Before their work at Eisai Inc., Costanzo worked at GelTex Pharmaceutical Inc. as the Supervisor of Analytical Development from 1995 to 1996, and at Telor Opthalmic Pharmaceuticals Inc. as the Manager of Analytical Development from 1992 to 1995.

Costanzo's career in the pharmaceutical industry began at Astra Pharmaceuticals in 1989, where they worked as a Method Development Scientist, developing release and in-process test methods for drug substance and product.

Rob Costanzo has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Merrimack College, obtained from 1980 to 1984. Rob then pursued a PhD in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1985 to 1989.
