Ken Johnston has an extensive background in human resources and labour relations. Ken started their career at Cara Operations, where they worked in labour relations for four years. Ken then joined Sears Canada as the Director of Associate Relations, before moving on to Maple Leaf Foods Inc. as the Senior Director of HR and Labour Relations. In this role, they provided strategic counsel on employee and labour relations matters and acted as the chief spokesperson during collective bargaining efforts. Currently, Ken is working at Purolator as the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, responsible for leading the organization's HR service delivery and strategic labour relations.
Ken Johnston completed their Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Ken then pursued further education at the University of Toronto, where they obtained a Master's degree in Industrial Relations with a focus on Human Resources.
