Valerie Markel

Valerie Markel is a skilled professional with diverse experience across various roles. Currently serving as a Sign Language Interpreter for Purple Communications, Inc. since May 2022, Valerie handles an average of 20 phone calls per hour, facilitating communication between Deaf and hearing users. In the summer of 2023, Valerie interned as a Summer Operations Analyst at Morgan Stanley, where project management and process automation were key achievements. Previous experience includes a stint as a District Manager Intern at ALDI USA, a Group Fitness Instructor at University Recreation & Wellness, and significant involvement in educational initiatives as a Tutor and Camp Counselor. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and is pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business.
