Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has always been one for pushing boundaries and going where no woman has gone before, be it representing all that is Indian on the global front, her humanitarian efforts, or getting under the skin of her characters, transforming everything from her look to her body language in critically-acclaimed films like Fashion, Barfi and Mary Kom.

As one of India’s leading stars, she made the bold move to pursue a cross-continental career and was the first Indian to headline a mainstream US television show – playing the lead character of Alex Parrish in the hugely successful ABC show ‘Quantico’, now in its third season. Quantico airs in over 212 territories and 56 languages across the world. She was also the antagonist in the recent Baywatch movie as the villainous Victoria Leeds, alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron. Her upcoming film ventures include Isn’t It Romantic (starring Liam Hemsworth, Rebel Wilson and Adam Devine) and A Kid Like Jake (starring Jim Parsons, Claire Danes, and Octavia Spencer).

She is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades both in India and internationally.

As an actor, she’s won a gamut of awards in recognition of her talent, including Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Debut and Best Villain from institutions such as Filmfare and IIFA, as well as the National Award for Best Actress in India. Internationally, she received the popular People’s Choice Award for two consecutive years, for her role as Alex Parrish in Quantico.

Priyanka was named among Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the world and Forbes’ World’s Most Powerful Women 2017. In 2016, she was conferred the Padma Shri, India’s 4th highest civilian honor.

Priyanka has had a longstanding relationship with UNICEF and is their Global Goodwill Ambassador. She is also the Girl Up Champion and propagated the Girl Rising movement in India. She is an advocate for education, child rights and adolescents and her philanthropic efforts start from home, through the Priyanka Chopra Foundation. She was recently honoured by Variety as a Woman of Power for her philanthropic efforts.

Her passion for storytelling led her to set up Purple Pebble Pictures, her own production company, once again doing it in her own unique way, encouraging regional cinema and giving new talent a platform to shine.
