Richard Garcia has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Richard began their career in 1998 as a Software Engineer at Best Buy, where they were responsible for developing multi-tiered applications using CSS, ASP, VB, HTML, JavaScript, and Oracle. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as a PHP/Web Developer at Brevard Community College, where they created, developed, and maintained multiple internal and external applications using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and CSS. From 2006 to 2013, they were a Software Engineer at KAEGAN Corporation, where they implemented, integrated, tested, and troubleshot the real-time US Army Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT) simulator system. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Developer at Digital Architecture, Inc., where they were responsible for working on a range of projects, from enhancing existing functionality to creating multi-tiered applications. Finally, they have been a Developer at Purple Rock Scissors since 2020.

Richard Garcia attended the University of Central Florida from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies. In 2016, they attended a UCF Bootcamp for Web Development.
