James Larson

VP, Deputy General Counsel at Purple

James Larson is the Vice President of Deputy General Counsel at Purple. Prior to joining Purple, James served as the General Counsel for HZO from December 2013 to July 2015. James began their legal career as a Contracts Manager for Orbital ATK from December 2006 to July 2008. James then went on to work as a Contracts Manager/Legal Intern for Nike from November 2005 to December 2006. In March 2018, James joined Purple Innovation as the Deputy General Counsel - IP and was promoted to their current role in November 2018. Prior to joining Purple, James served as the Corporate and Intellectual Property Counsel for IMDS from July 2008 to December 2013.

James Larson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Brigham Young University. James then went on to earn their Doctor of Jurisprudence from Lewis & Clark Law School.

James Larson reports to Casey K. McGarvey, Chief Legal Officer. They work with J. Scott Askew - Vice President of Deputy General Counsel, Craig Kleinman - Vice President of Deputy General Counsel.
