Shama Tareen

Shama Tareen has over 30 years of work experience in various roles. Shama began their career in 1989 as a Software Programmer at Silicon Chip Technologies Mumbai. In 1991, they moved to Akshay Software Technologies Limited as a Training Executive. Two years later, they joined APTECH Computer Education as a Senior Training Executive, conducting workshops and training sessions for corporate clients. In 1999, they were employed as a Senior Training Consultant at Asset International Computer Education. From 2012 to 2020, they were a Maths and Computer Tutor, tutoring kids from India and overseas from 8th to 12th grade in Math and Computer Science. Most recently, in 2020, they began working as a Curriculum Developer at PurpleTutor.

Shama Tareen has a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from DG Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce, which they obtained from 1985 to 1988. Shama also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and its Applications from SNDT Women's University - P. G. Department of Computer Science, which they obtained from 1988 to 1989. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications: Create a Python powered Chatbot in under 60 minutes and Learn to create Advance Virtual Assistant (Jarvis 2.0) with Python from Udemy in June 2022, Introduction to Programming and Animation with Alice from Coursera in July 2020, and a Certificate in eCommerce from Asset International, Bombay in December 1999.
