James Gartrell

James Gartrell is a seasoned product designer and co-founder of Purpose UX, with a career beginning in 2004 after earning a BS in Information Technology from Juniata College. Currently serving as an Advisory Board Member for TriUXPA since 2019, James provides valuable insights to the User Experience Design Professionals Association. Previous roles include Senior User Experience Designer at Amplify Learning and iContact, where responsibilities included leading design initiatives and managing user-centered projects. James has also contributed to advisory capacities for the Triangle Usability Professional Association and mentored at the Cornell User Experience Design Club. Notable early career experience includes positions as User Experience Designer II at Motricity Inc. and Interface and Interaction Designer II at Digital Solutions Inc.
