Douglas Becker

Douglas Becker has extensive experience in quality assurance, continuous improvement, and technical roles. Douglas most recently worked as the Director of Quality & Compliance at PurposeBuilt Brands starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Director, Quality / Continuous Improvement and R&D at AWT Labels & Packaging from 2017 to 2023. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as the Director, Technical at Fort Dearborn Co., where they were responsible for R&D, new product development, and quality assurance. Before that, they served as the Technical Manager, Product Development/Continuous Improvement at Graphic Packaging International from 2006 to 2012. Becker began their career at Alcan in 1997, holding various roles such as Quality Manager, Technical Manager, Laboratory Manager, Black Belt, and CI Champion until 2006.

Douglas Becker completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Chemistry at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1984 to 1986. Douglas then pursued their MBA in Operations Management and Supervision at Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University from 1993 to 1995. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Chicago. Douglas Becker has also received certifications as a Certified Manager of Quality and Operational Excellence from the American Society for Quality, a Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) from the Institute of Packaging Professionals, a Certified Quality Auditor from the American Society for Quality, and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Alcan Certified.
