Pontus Berg is a seasoned maritime executive with extensive experience in operational management and technical oversight within the shipping industry. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Purus since January 2023, Pontus oversees all commercial and technical management for the company's vessel and infrastructure assets, while also leading Purus Gas. Prior roles include Executive Vice President of Technical & Operations at BW LPG, where responsibilities encompassed commercial operations and fleet management, and General Manager at Greenship Gas, focusing on gas carrier shipping. Pontus has held various senior positions, including Technical Manager at Evergas and Eitzen Gas, and has a strong background in fleet administration gained at V.Ships and Laurin Maritime. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Marine Engineering from Kalmar University and a High Performance Leadership program from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
