Lauren Derubeis

Lauren DeRubeis is a dedicated special education teacher with experience in various educational settings, currently working at Putnam Valley Central School District since December 2018. In addition to serving as a special education teacher and assisting during the Extended School Year (ESY), Lauren has contributed as a teacher intern at both Blythedale Children's Hospital and NYC Department of Education, gaining hands-on experience with diverse student populations. Lauren's background includes leadership roles in Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity, where responsibilities included new member education and chapter development. A graduate of Barnard College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Childhood Education, Lauren is currently pursuing a master's degree in Special Education at Manhattanville University.
