Alyson Mack is a highly experienced middle school science teacher who has worked at various educational institutions including Rutland Middle School, Gresham-Barlow School District 10J, and Valor Middle School. Prior to their teaching roles, Alyson held positions at Putney Student Travel and Bering Strait School District. With a Master's degree in Environmental Education from the University of Alaska Southeast, Alyson also has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Gordon College. Alyson has a diverse background in education and outreach, having worked as an Education and Outreach Coordinator at The Great Basin Institute and an Outdoor Science Instructor at OMSI.

Putney Student Travel

Since 1951, Putney Student Travel has offered high school and middle school students the opportunity and insight to shape their world through travel, unique cultural engagement, friendship, and fun. Our summer programs for teens include Service, Exploration, Language, Career, and Pre-College trips to 30+ countries around the world. We also collaborate with the Smithsonian to offer Smithsonian Student Travel; with National Geographic to offer National Geographic Student Travel; and with Harvard Chan C-CHANGE to offer Youth Summits on Climate, Equity, & Health.
