Michael Oster

Michael Oster is an experienced professional in the field of education and travel management, currently serving as the Smithsonian Student Travel Manager and Director of Hiring at Putney Student Travel since September 2012. In this role, Michael oversees all aspects of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing a diverse pool of summer program staff, while also managing the collaboration with Smithsonian Student Travel. Prior to this, Michael was the Program Director at the Catalina Island Marine Institute from September 2005 to November 2008 and worked as a Marine Science Educator at SoundWaters from September 2004 to August 2005. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Elon University, earned in May 2004.
